Some days…

Have you ever noticed there are some days where your motivation is gone? I do! This last week, returning to work after vacation, chaos that occurred while I was out and continued, and just plain tired! I listened to my body, went to bed early, didn’t wake up early to run, and laid low after work. Friday, I went for a short run. After I started my run, got into the vibes of my music, and zoned out. The miles came back, along with the pace. I stopped after 5 miles, not to push it too hard, but it felt sooo good! I felt good that I made the decision to listen to my body this last week. Saturday morning, I got out of bed, drank my coffee, and grab the pup to go out for another run. It was just as enjoyable as Friday felt. I made sure to not have a faster pace but keep the easy (near 9:00 min/mile) pace. Plan is to head out Sunday for the long run, 12-14 miles.

All in all, sometimes it pays off to listen to your body, especially when your goal is the distant future!
